![]() Recuva can still scan the hard drive contents to find your files. Similarly, when you format your hard drive (especially when you use the Quick Format option), Windows deletes that hidden index but doesn’t overwrite existing files until you start storing new data. ![]() Recuva will show you the list of files it has found on that drive, and estimate how likely it is to recover them successfully. If the drive’s index is damaged, then the other parts of the drive are also damaged. Unlike Windows, Recuva will scan all parts of your hard drive, looking for the bits that make up your files. Unfortunately, that index is corrupted, and Windows can’t find your file, even if the file itself is undamaged. Instead of having to search through the entire hard drive for a file you requested, all it has to do is look it up in the index for faster results. Windows (and other operating systems) use a hidden index on hard drives, USB drives, and memory cards. Recuva can handle situations such as damaged hard drives, files you forgot to back up before reformatting the drive, camera memory cards and holiday photos that no longer work, etc. Recover Data from Corrupted or Formatted Drives Therefore, you no longer have to worry about losing your music from iTunes or iPod. ![]() Even if you can’t access files on your iPod directly, Recuva can. If you listen to music on your iPod, Recuva can recover files directly from that iPod drive. For professional photographers, Recuva supports Nikon RAW and Canon RAW (.CRW) formats. Whether you need to recover pictures from a digital camera memory card, files you’ve backed up to an external hard drive, or documents you carry around every day on a USB stick, Recuva will restore them for you. ![]() Recuva can work on any rewritable device you have.

Export the movie with the Best quality 2. Tips: If the MOV file is too big for you, you can re-encode it into a smaller MP4 using Handbrake or other free video converters. Note that the file size of the MOV file will be larger than MP4, but the quality will also be better. Then you should be able to open the iMovie MOV file in QuickTime Player without problems. That will save your iMovie project in MOV instead of MP4 (exports at all other quality settings will generate a smaller. So, when you think about it, the meaning we assign to travel souvenirs makes them more romantic than a lot of other old things we might collect.Ĭollection of personalized ruby flash glassware, all souvenirs from Ocean Grove, New Jersey. When the original owners of these pieces held them in their hands, were they reminded of their carefree childhoods in short pants and sailor collars? Did an etched glass pitcher take them back to a boardwalk stroll with their first love? When they held this souvenir, could they almost smell the salty ocean air mixed with the lemon verbena cologne sprinkled on their handkerchief?Ĭollectors often gravitate toward antiques with a sense of romance, knowing these objects were used by people living in dramatically different times from our own. ![]() There, you too can view a collection of quaint memorabilia from Ocean Grove’s past, some dating as far back as 1890, although souvenirs were being sold in Ocean Grove by at least 1871 (more info below). I feel that sense of nostalgia every time I peer into the showcase of antique souvenirs inside the Museum of the Historical Society of Ocean Grove. ![]() From the private collection of Kim Brittingham. Up to this point, most 2 in 1 hybrid devices were tablets first and laptops second, often with separate Bluetooth keyboards. This past year they upped their game, not only releasing an update to their popular Surface Pro line, but by catching the tech and photo industry by surprise with the announcement of the Surface Book back on October 6th. After a rocky start a few years ago, the MS Surface and Surface Pro line of products have continued to grow slowly by surely, moving into a leading position within this form-factor. Leading this growing market segment is a surprising character, Microsoft. Even Apple, who’s founder Steve Jobs famously lamented the idea of a Pen Stylus, finally came out with their own 2:1 device just last month that has an optional keyboard and pen (or pencil more accurately), the iPad Pro. While many aspects of the PC industry are currently on a downward trajectory in terms of overall sales, 2:1 hybrids (devices that double as a laptop & tablet or vice versa) are selling like hot cakes. Additionally, computer manufacturers are now building devices with creatives/photographers in mind, a change of pace after years of neglect. While photographers from the old guard might pontificate about how great things were back “in the day”, the truth is that photography is now more accessible, more affordable and our gear is certainly more powerful. When it comes to being a photographer, we are without a doubt living in the golden age of photo technology. |
